Smooth Locks provides professional, mobile and home-studio hair treatment services specialising in:
- Keratin Smoothing Treatments
- Nanoplastia Treatments
- Hair Botox Treatments
Smooth Locks operates within approximately 25 miles of Windsor, including areas across Berkshire, Surrey, Buckinghamshire and West London.
Training, Certification & Insurance
Smooth Locks is:
- Professionally trained and certified in Keratin Smoothing, Nanoplastia and Hair Botox treatments
- Fully insured to carry out the treatments provided
Smooth Locks is not a general hairdressing salon and does not offer cutting, colouring or barbering services.
Information provided on our website or promotional materials is for general guidance only. Service descriptions, benefits, results and pricing may change without notice.

All new clients must undergo a consultation prior to treatment. Consultations will be carried out via video call or in person, in Windsor.
Consultations assess:
- Hair type & texture and length
- Hair condition & porosity
- Chemical history (colouring, bleaching, perms etc.)
- The most suitable keratin treatment for your hair type
- Desired results & expectations
- Travel feasibility & access
Smooth Locks may take written notes or request photos for accuracy. These are stored securely and used for service delivery only.
Smooth Locks reserves the right to decline service if treatment is unsuitable or unsafe.
Health, Medical & Hair History Disclosure
Clients must disclose the following during consultation:
- Allergies & sensitivities
- Scalp or skin conditions
- Respiratory conditions
- Hormonal factors (e.g. menopause, PCOS, thyroid)
- Medical conditions affecting hair or scalp
- Use of medications that affect the hair
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Previous keratin, botox, nanoplastia, bleaching or colour treatments
It is your responsibility to obtain medical clearance from your GP where necessary.. Failure to disclose relevant information may lead to adverse results or reactions, for which Smooth Locks accepts no liability.
Smooth Locks reserves the right to decline service if treatment is unsuitable or unsafe
Appointments require a £50 deposit to secure a date and time.
- The deposit is deducted from the final balance
- The appointment is not confirmed until the deposit is received
- Deposit is paid only after consultation, not before
Deposit Refund Policy:
- Cancelling 48 hours or more before the appointment → Deposit refunded
- Cancelling within 48 hours → Deposit retained
- No-show (no notice given) → Deposit retained
Deposits are processed via invoice generated through Smooth Locks'
business account.
Payment Terms
Final balances are due on the day of treatment before the treatment begins.
Preferred payment methods:
- Bank transfer
- Card reader on arrival
- Cash
If payment cannot be completed, Smooth Locks reserves the right to refuse treatment and retain the deposit.
Please note that prices are subject to change without prior notice. Our website displays guideline prices and can vary depending on each clients hair length and type.
Smooth Locks provides mobile appointments within approximately 25 miles of Windsor.
- Travel within 25 miles = included
- Travel beyond 25 miles = may incur a travel fee (quoted individually)
Parking, toll, permit and congestion charges will be added to the final invoice where applicable.
Clients are responsible for notifying Smooth Locks of appropriate parking arrangements before the appointment.
Clients must provide a safe, suitable working environment with:
- Clean, uncluttered floor space
- Adequate lighting
- Sufficient ventilation
- Access to electricity
- Access to water (if needed)
- A standard-height chair for treatment
To ensure health and safety:
- Children must be supervised and kept at a safe distance during the treatment.
- Pets must be safely controlled during the treatment
If the environment is unsafe or unsuitable, Smooth Locks may refuse treatment and retain the deposit.
Smooth Locks aims to be punctual for all appointments, and we kindly ask the same from our clients. However, we understand that travel, traffic and other circumstances can occasionally cause delays on either side.
If Smooth Locks expects to be delayed, you will notified as soon as possible. We ask that clients extend the same courtesy and notify us if they are running late.
Due to the treatment length of time and other clients booked on the day. If either party is more than 15 minutes late, the appointment may need to be rescheduled at the discretion of Smooth Locks. In these cases:
This policy is in place to ensure fairness, safety and efficient scheduling for all clients.
Treatment results vary depending on individual factors including:
- Hair type
- Hair condition
- Previous chemical treatments
- Hormonal conditions (e.g menopause)
- Aftercare routine
Colour Changes:
Keratin, Nanoplastia and Hair Botox treatments may cause tonal changes, particularly in bleached or coloured hair.
Smooth Locks is not liable for:
- Colour fading or warming
- Reduced treatment longevity
- Hair behaviour due to hormonal or medical conditions
No refunds or compensation are provided for results affected by these factors.
Aftercare Responsibilities
Smooth Locks provides written or verbal aftercare instructions. Clients are responsible for:
- Using sulphate-free shampoos/conditioners
- Avoiding salt, chlorine or harsh chemicals
- Following heat/maintenance recommendations
- Avoiding certain styling practices when instructed
Failure to follow aftercare guidance may reduce longevity or effectiveness.
No refunds or free re-treatments are provided where aftercare was not followed.
Smooth Locks reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if:
- The client is unsuitable for treatment
- Information has been withheld
- The environment is unsafe
- Abuse or inappropriate behaviour occurs
- Payment cannot be completed
In such cases, the deposit may be retained.
Smooth Locks is not liable for:
- Reactions caused by undisclosed medical conditions
- Hair breakage from previous chemical treatments
- Colour changes due to smoothing treatments
- Reduced longevity due to poor aftercare
- Damage resulting from hormonal or medication changes
- Client dissatisfaction due to unrealistic expectations
If you are unhappy with your treatment, you must contact Smooth Locks within 48 hours so we can address your concerns professionally.
Smooth Locks will not issue refunds for:
- Changes in personal preference after treatment
- Results impacted by aftercare failure
- Expected variations due to hair type
Smooth Locks reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions without prior notice. The version in effect at the time of booking shall apply.
